Uniontown Postcards designed by UHS students are available for sale. Each postcard costs $ .75 or you can purchase all five in a bundle for $3. You can order online at https://forms.office.com/r/gSRxkEYmmb. Please send cash or checks payable to Uniontown High School, Attn: Carla Lowden, 146 East Fayette Street, Uniontown, PA 15401. Orders will be mailed via USPS once payment is received. Thank you for supporting this project and fundraiser for the Class of 2023.
The Uniontown Postcard Contest asked Uniontown Area High School students to submit postcard designs with the theme “What makes Uniontown, Uniontown?” The contest closed on November 23rd with entries from 28 students. Faculty and staff of Uniontown Area School District voted on the designs, ultimately selecting the top five designs to be printed and sold throughout the Uniontown area. Proceeds from the postcard sales and sponsors benefit the Uniontown Class of 2023.
The goal of the contest was multifold:
- Encourage students to view their community as a unique destination with a storied past and future
- Give students an opportunity to share their creative skills with the public
- Offer a physical token that represents Uniontown to residents and visitors alike
- Fundraise for the Uniontown Area High School senior class (Class of 2023)
Contest Winners & Prize Sponsors
The faculty and staff at Uniontown voted on all 28 entries. The top five designs were ranked and the winning artists received gift cards from local businesses and organizations according to their place. In total, the artists received $225 worth of gift cards and will have their designs put into print.
1st place: Senior Gabe Hostetler, $100 gift card from Autumn’s Bridal & Prom
2nd place: Senior Payton Hostetler, $50 gift card from the State Theatre Center for the Arts
3rd place: Junior Dominic Scott, $25 gift card from A Queen’s Things Hair & Boutique
4th place: Senior Nicholas Delpercio, $25 gift card from Kacie’s Sports Cafe
5th place: Freshman Graci Rodeheaver $25 gift card from Autumn’s Bridal & Prom

All 28 entries will be available for viewing in Gallery 86 at 86 W Main St as a part of the Uniontown Art Club’s outreach to budding artists in senior high school art programs.
