Children’s bodies and brains are in a constant state of growth throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Proper nutrition plays a critical role in their lives and education. There are numerous studies that link nutrition to academic success. Not only can nutrition influence a student’s academic success but also their social and behavioral development as well. The staff of UASD Food Service is committed to implementing a nutrient-rich program that operates within the guideline of the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs that allows each student to reach their full academic potential, full physical and mental growth, and achieves life-lasting health and well being.
